This Past Weekend we got to go up to Eagar and spend some time with Jakes Family. Its always fun to go up there I LOVE any excuse to get in the mountains espeacially this time of year! I was hoping it would snow but it didnt. Molli and Larry were there also Molli will be living there for the next 8 Weeks Larry just went off to Navy BootCamp in Chicago. When he is done at boot camp they will be moving to South Carolina for a few years while he is in the Navy. It was good to see him before he took off! While we were up there we got to go get a Christmas Tree. We were going to go up to Alpine but decided to make it quick this year and we just went up the Mountain right there in Eagar. WE found a less then perfect tree but we like it! I have been leaning towards a fake tree but I LOVE real Christmas Trees! becasue each one is so unique and different maybe someday I will get a Fake one but not anytime soon.

And after Dinner I made Sugar Cookies from scratch yeah you heard me like eggs milk sugar flour all of the baking things crazy thing was it ws all in my cubboards! Along with all the stuff for some yummy forsting. See I can Cook haha I guess I just choose not to and it might be time that changes. The cookies didnt turn out too shabbey and with the frosting they were actually good. Jake and Cory want to "help" Decorate them and that didnt last too long all cory did was eat the frosting and all Jake did was eat the cookies right after he frosted them. But it was still a lot fun!

i am so jealous of your real tree and that you got to cut it down yourself. eric said no to a real tree because they are to messy. i love the way they smell.
i cant remember the last time i had a real tree they smell so good.! your cookies turned out so cute. i cant wait to make some this weekend with Stratton. we really do need to get the boys together for some play time.

You are brave with the home made cookies. Me and Betty.....Crocker that is, are best friends:)
How fun! I love your tree. And the cookies...yummy! I have to make sugar cookies every Christmas. Matt doesn't like them though so Gage and I eat all of them! Call me next time you're up and we'll hang out! :)
