A Catch up Post

So we have been busy as usual. No surprise there. I really feel like I have been running circles. My Photography business seems to be picking up gradually I LOVE that. But My poor house cleaning duties are suffering. In fact when I get done with this post  the internet is getting closed Photoshop exited and the computer TURNED off for the next couple days. I really need a minute to breath! (of course after I finish a print order!) Did I mention I will be putting away a million folded clothes and scrubbing toilets and floors too!

So What's been goin on Well we had a birthday party for the 2 year old! A Spider man Birthday Party that is with lots of cake presents and friends neighbors and family!

Then My brother Keith Opened his Mission Call!!! There were so many people crammed in my moms house good stuff! I am SO PROUD of my brother and the LONG journey he has taken back to the gospel!

        

Keiths cute little girlfriend         Keith was called to serve the Lord In the Seattle Washington Mission for 2 years. He reports to the Provo MTC June 22!!!

Then my Aunt Melissa and Keith went through the temple and all of my moms family was down minus one sister out of 9 kids it was crazy busy and LOTS of fun! It was so good to see the Coloradoans (is that even a word) we miss those people around here!!!

Well that's about it for this post! Everything else is pretty much the same… Jake is still old I’m still tired Spiderman still takes baths with the boys and…

Callie is still nice and plump! 19 lbs at 6 months old!

Beautifully Blessed

The other day I had a knock on the door. Cory was playing outside with the neighbor kids so I thought that's funny. When I answered the door this is what I found…

Cory was standing there and placed by his feet were flowers he was leaving for me!

What a sweet boy (sometimes) I am so VERY blessed to have the 3 beautiful children I have and the handsome kind husband(sometimes)!

Were have the days gone?

2 years ago TODAY we welcomed to our little family one adorable baby boy!

I cant believe how much he has grown in these 2 short years. From 6lbs 2oz to one perfectly chubby toddler…

He is so different from his big brother but try's so hard to be just like him all at the same time.

He loves his Daddy his blanky and his baby sister. He Loves to run and jump and play. He loves to hit a ball off a tee and watch football with his Dad. He loves to eat all kinds of food and Drink Chocolate Milk and ask WHY a million times a day. He loves taking baths and making any kind of mess you could possibly think of making. He loves to read books, color, and watch Toy Story 3!

He is sweet and so very polite.

We had a typical Easter around these parts. filled with family friends egg decorating messy Easter basket grass, A LOT of candy good food and of course church. But more importantly we were reminded of our Savior Jesus Christ for his perfect example his loving sacrifice in Gethsemane his crucifixion and MOST importantly THAT HE HAS RISEN!

My Goals...

We haven't been up to much lately. I seem to be busy going in circles. I am working like crazy to get my Photography Business going in the direction I want it to be going. A few weeks ago I was up late just surfing the internet looking through countless blogs and websites of great photographers people who create amazing photographs the kind I catch myself drooling over and wishing I were that great. Then the thought came to me Why shouldn't I be this good someday?? I LOVE doing it. Why not set out to be great and push myself to be successful like these people did. They had to start somewhere right? So that's what I have decided to do! I know its going to take TIME But my goal is to be in the next 5-6 years to have a boutique lifestyle photography studio. That's crazy I know but in 5 years if its still not happening and I am no better that day then I am this day I will honestly be able to tell myself that I TRIED and I will have NO regrets… I have so far to go and SOOO much to learn But I am DETERMINED to not be just another girl with a digital camera!!! Wish me LUCK…   

It always seems I am doing 50 things at once. Like right now I am making the kids lunch posting on this here blog doing a rough edit in lightroom reading a photography article and working on a price list for some print packages I am going to start including with a photo session. I recently read in a blog post of another GREAT Photographer she quoted some advice that was given to her once. “Get in Over your Head and Swim to the Top” And that's just what I am doing and going to do!

On an unrelated topic Isn't my 4 year old growing up to be a little heartbreaker all ready!!

 

Hello its me the Blog Slacker!

So much has changed around these parts since I last posted on my poor sad little blog in March Almost 1 month ago. Like I have one of these now!

 

Yes this is a tree and quite frankly i am EXCITED about it! I also have a front yard and a HUGE backyard. It might not seem big to some of you but for us its a big change from our pathetic excuse for a backyard we used to have. I’m not sure if you see were i am going with this yet but yes We moved. Just across the green belt and up a few streets from my parents. And we love our new house!

Jakes working really hard to get the grass growing again.

Next we got one of these…

Blogging friends meet Marley. He is our new Puppy. He is a full bred black lab, he is super cute and very hyper. We really kinda  like him! I think he gets to stay.

We also have frequent visits from Iron Man. He Just shows up on the front porch and is so kind to ring the Door Bell. He’s our Buddy.

And When Iron Man leaves… One little almost 5 year old stinker replaces him and his little brother the almost 2 year old gets really excited!

We also had some visitors!

And we already miss them!
