{Christmas Came and Went}

Christmas was great this year. We were surrounded by our Families for the week. Even though Jake had to work Christmas we still enjoyed him all morning till he had to leave for work in the afternoon. Jakes parents spent Christmas with us here at our house this year, it was a little less crazier then last year having my family at our little apartment but fun just the same. Christmas Eve my parents made gumbo and me and the boys went over and visited them for a few hours and read the Scriptures about the saviors birth and watched the boy open a present from Mom/Grandma.

Christmas Day

We had to wake Cory up so we would have time to open presents before Jake headed off to work. Cory didn't go to bed till One in the morning. So Santa was up late! But the little boys loved opening presents and Kellin seemed to enjoy the chaos

O Holy Night...

nativity

O holy night, the stars are brightly shining;
It is the night of the dear Savior’s birth!
Long lay the world in sin and error pining,
Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope, the weary soul rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees, O hear the angel voices!
O night divine, O night when Christ was born!
O night, O holy night, O night divine!
Led by the light of faith serenely beaming,
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand.
So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming,
Here came the wise men from Orient land.
The King of kings lay thus in lowly manger,
In all our trials born to be our Friend!
He knows our need—to our weakness is no stranger.
Behold your King; before Him lowly bend!
Behold your King; before Him lowly bend!
Truly He taught us to love one another;
His law is love and His Gospel is peace.
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother
And in His Name all oppression shall cease.
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
Let all within us praise His holy Name!
Christ is the Lord! O praise His name forever!
His pow’r and glory evermore proclaim!
His pow’r and glory evermore proclaim!

Merry Christmas

The Christmas Tree Harvesters...

Jake and I took the boys up to Eagar for a 4 day weekend. The purpose of our trip was to find, cut down, and bring home 4 Christmas Trees!

And we did just that. We went on a lovely drive up to Alpine around Esqudilla Mountain and Harvested Our lot of Christmas Trees. We brought one home for ourselves, my parents, and two for Jakes friends from work. Mam’s (Jakes Mom) came along for the ride, the boys slept the entire time we were cutting down these trees. Jake and I had a lot of fun finding all these trees.

After we gathered all the trees, we spent the rest of the time bundled up inside Because it was so cold outside. Jake and I drank several cups of Hot Chocolate and the boys played by the fireplace. To no ones surprise Cory Still ran around in his underwear—I swear I can never keep clothes on that kid EVER! We drove home Monday morning, and it snowed and rained the whole way home.
